Halloween is coming....
Aura's been talking about it for a month now...and I have to start working on their costumes (for me is a tradition to make my kids outfits...but with 3 kids is getting hard): Aura wants to be Draculaura, Phoenix keeps changing his mind between Spider-man, Superman and Batman....and Amaya will be a butterfly (my little sweetheart)
It'll be fantastic!!!! love this holiday... and thinking on more fun, I want to giveaway a
cute Halloween bag for your little trick- or- treater.
The bag is made of felt by me (as always) and has a hand cut pumpkin face on the front.

The weather is good today which allows me to hang all the clothes out to dry naturally. We do not have a dryer and I try to wash manually as often as I can so that pretty much saves on electric bills.
We need to instill in our children the importance of conservation of nature by educating them on what is happening to our environment and what we need to do to save our planet. As the saying goes "We did not inherit the earth, we only borrowed it from our children".

What I did was gather a bunch of electronic stuff we don't need anymore, including audio cables and computer accessories (my husband is a true audiophile and computer geek) so we can take it to our local electronic recycler. We have to pay by the pound to do it, but it's better than throwing it in the landfill.

We walked to church this morning. When the weather permits, we try to walk as much as possible to reduce the pollution a vehicle creates and gas consumption.

My son was really tired and wouldn't go down for a nap. Usually we drive him around until he falls asleep, but instead we got out the stroller and went for a walk. Saving gas!

Today I washed my cloth diapers. I use cloth diapers because they're cheaper and there is less waste.
We can continue to keep Earth safe by taking every small chance we have to do something green: recycle, unplug electronics, walk, etc. Lots of little things add up!

My mom and I always sned packages back and forth expecially during the holidays. I like to reuse plastic shopping bags as filler and my mom will use the same plastic bags in her box!

Today we shopped using our canvas totes & purchased items with minimal packaging so there's less to recycle.
What I would like to see is our young ones growing up with the idea that they must act now to save our planet. I hope that in schools & in the workplaces there is recycling as it is in homes.
