HAPPY Thanksgiving and Black Friday

Ok My idea was to post last night but I ate so much ... I almost got sick...(as always)
The idea was to wish a Happy Thanksgiving!!
We been here for not so long (in States) so we don't celebrate much this Holiday however I love that every year our friends invite us to stay with them and have a great meal...

OPEN STUDIO...

Last Wednesday my kids took over my studio with their finger paint....was kind of messy but fun (I'm still cleaning walls)

Original Fingerpaint Recipe:

Ingredients
1/2 cup cornstarch
3 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups cold water
food coloring

Directions
In a medium pan, mix all the ingredients together to make the finger paint. Cook over low heat 10 to 15 minutes. Keep stirring the finger paint mixture until it is smooth and thick. After the finger paint has thickened take the pan off the stove and let the mixture cool.
After cooling, divide the finger paint into storage containers depending on how many colors you would like. Add a few drops of food coloring to each container. Stir the coloring in to the paint to determine the shade of color. You're ready to finger paint! Cover tightly when storing.

Monday Night

Last Monday was a crazy day...well as always, after the whole usual schedule we went to the theater to see: "Where the wild things are" Aura was excited actually she was "super" excited. We don't go often (with Phoenix it's hard...but that is a different whole story...) so for her it's a real deal....
Well she was really happy while we were getting the pop corn and the lemonade but after the gate was closed and the movie started she got scared, after I told her that she could leave when ever she wants, she was fine...

I like the movie. I believe it's a great movie. I love how they made all the mounters (wild things) At the same time I got the felling of darkness but in a good way... it has all the mystery of the book...Besides is very impressive how they do a whole 90 minutes movie of a 10 pages child book.

Aura loves all the creatures and she felt in love with Max I guess, in fact now she wants to named her son Max...

El lunes pasado con Aura fuimos a ver "Hacia donde viven las cosas salvajes"; como no vamos seguido al cine, Aura estaba emocionadísima, hasta que cerraron la puerta de la sala y se puso un poquito nerviosa, pero al saber que podía abrirla cuando ella quisiera, la relajó...

La película me gustó; es mas me encantó como personificaron e hicieron todas las cosas salvajes y a la vez la cinta tiene "el misterio" del libro. Aura, por su lado, quedó fasinada con todas las criaturas, es mas hasta creo quedó media enamorada de Max...

Fall Collection

He estado subiendo algunas nuevas prendas a mi tienda. Todas ellas inspiradas en cuentos de Hadas. En cada una de ellas mezcle algodones organicos con materiales reciclados encongtrados en una tienda de segunda demasiado increible. Disfruten y que tengan un fin de semana estupendo!

Our Halloween Night

Last Night we had a very fun night. Aura was a little sick so we didn't go for a traditional trick or treating but we waited for our little neighbors instead and went for a pizza night with some friends...Everything was really cool and when we were in our way to our friends house... neighbors gave to Aura and Phoenix candies...Neat!
The funniest fact: Some how Phoenix knew that the bucket was for the treats so he went all the way with his bucket asking for candies... Here are my little monsters dressing as Sally and Jack Skellington (Aura's idea...well I think they looked just adorable :)


En vista de que Aura estaba media resfriada no fuimos a pedir dulces, en vez esperamos por nuestros vecinitos y fuimos a comer pizza con unos amigos... lo entretenido fue que en el camino nos encontramos con algunos vecinos que le dieron caramelos a los chicos y de alguna manera Phoenix supo para que era el balde.
